Bay Area median home price up again

The Bay Area's median house prices up 2.7 percent from March 2006 to $690,000. Condo prices also made substantial gains in most counties, including Santa Clara, San Mateo and Alameda. The Santa Clara County got median house prices at $755,000 last month, up 2.7 percent from March 2006. By the way rates for 30-year mortgages have been in the low 6 percent range for several weeks, lower than at this time last year. Is it a good time to buy property?
